Journal Policy

General Statement

The Journal of Hospital Management and Services (JHMS) is committed to maintaining the accuracy, transparency, and integrity of the scholarly record. The journal recognizes that errors may occasionally occur in published articles and that concerns may arise regarding the reliability of research findings or compliance with publication ethics.

JHMS is committed to addressing such matters promptly, fairly, and transparently in accordance with the principles and guidance of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) and the International Committee of Medical Journal Editors (ICMJE).

This policy establishes the procedures for correcting errors, retracting unreliable publications, and issuing expressions of concern when necessary. Editorial decisions will be based on the nature and significance of the issue, the reliability of the published findings, and the available evidence.

The primary purpose of corrections and retractions is to preserve the integrity of the scholarly record and inform readers, rather than to punish authors.
