JHMS Journal : Journal of Hospital Management and Services (ISSN : 2830-1056 [online] & ISSN : 2829-842X [print]) This is a journal published by the Hospital Administration study program, Faculty FAKAR (Pharmacy, Public Health, Hospital Administration and Radiology) IIK STRADA Indonesia. This statement describes the ethical behavior of all parties involved in the act of publishing articles in this journal, including the authors, editor-in-chief, editorial board, reviewers and publishers.
Journal Publication Ethics Guidelines
Publishing articles on JHMS.Org within the scope of hospital administration discussions must meet and comply with the guidelines of previous publishers, therefore it is important to agree on the standards of ethical behavior expected for all parties involved in the act of publishing: authors, journal editors, peer reviewers , publishers and the public.
Hospital Administration Study Program as the publisher of JHMS (Journal of Hospital Management and Services) always maintains the quality and quantity of the journals it publishes because it becomes a big responsibility if the articles published are not in accordance with the agreement of all parties.
Editorial Board Duties
The decision to publish or not a journal is decided after the editorial board validates the journal the author is working on whether it has met the existing requirements or not, if it is not in accordance with the predetermined requirements, it is recommended to revise it so that the journal can be published.
Editors ensure fairness in the review process, impartially, and in a timely manner. In one article there are at least two reviewers, namely external and independent, and if necessary the editor will ask for additional opinions.
Editors may not discriminate against someone based on gender, race, creed, ethnicity, nationality or political choice so that the results are truly clean and pure based on intellectual thought not because of the principle of dislike. Editors must not attempt to influence journal ratings by artificially increasing journal metrics, any editors and editorial staff may not disclose any information about submitted manuscripts to anyone other than the respective authors, reviewers, prospective reviewers, other editorial advisors and publishers, as it should be.
Editors must work to maintain the integrity of published records by reviewing and assessing reported or suspected violations (research, publication, review and editorial), together with the publisher (or the public). An editor who is presented with convincing evidence of infringement should coordinate with the publisher (and/or the public) to arrange for publication of corrections, retractions, expressions of concern, or other corrections to the notes, as may be relevant.
Reviewer's Task
The task of the reviewer himself is to assist the editor in correcting the journal compiled by the author so that the journal to be published can be known where the error or deficiency lies. Any selected reviewer who feels that he is not yet qualified to review the submitted research must immediately contact the editor and withdraw from the review process. Any journal documents received for review must be treated as confidential. They may not be shown or discussed with others except as permitted by the editor.
Review must be done objectively. Personal criticism of the author is not allowed, reviewers must express their views clearly with supporting arguments and must only cover the author's results, not personally. Reviewers should identify relevant published work that has not been cited by the authors. Any statement that an observation, derivation, or argument has been previously reported must be accompanied by a relevant citation.
Writer's Task
Authors of original research journals must present an accurate report of the work done as well as an objective discussion of its significance. The underlying data must be represented by an accurate source. A journal must contain sufficient detail and references to allow others to replicate the work.
Authors are required to provide raw data with respect to the paper for editorial review, and should be prepared to provide public access to such data, if possible, and under any circumstances. Authors should ensure that they have written a fully original work, and if the author uses the work or words of another, it should be cited in an appropriate manner according to the template.
If working on a journal involves chemicals, hazardous procedures or equipment that has a hazard, the author must clearly identified this in the description. All authors must disclose in their manuscript any financial or other substantive conflicts of interest that may be construed to influence the results or interpretation of their manuscript. All sources of financial support for the project must be disclosed. When an author discovers a significant error or inaccuracy in a published journal, the author should immediately notify the editor to withdraw and correct it first.
